SUBJECT: THE CAUSAL WAGER

The "Causal Wager" is a theoretical framework proposed by Dr. Weiss in 1968. It posits that by observing a non-Euclidean dream state, the observer actively collapses the wave function of that reality into a fixed state.

The device is not purely mechanical. As seen in the schematic, it requires a biological component to bridge the gap between binary logic and human REM cycles. The gears are metaphorical; the wires are literal nerves.

Protocol 89-Alpha dictates that no subject may remain connected for longer than 45 minutes. Beyond this threshold, the brain begins to accept the digital "logic" of the Substrata as the primary reality. This results in the "Geometer's Disease" – the perception of real-world objects as wireframe constructs.
